About Blossom & Grow
Blossom and Grow Garden Workshops have been designed by Frances Riley and Alice Brosnahan.
Frances Riley
Frances nurtured a small ornamental garden in her teens and took up gardening to support her former career as a professional dancer.
Her passion for gardens and nature encouraged her to enrol on a garden design course and thereafter completing a BA Hons Degree in Garden Design at Kingston University.
She set up her landscape business, 1 to One Garden Design and Landscaping, in 1992 working throughout Surrey and Hampshire.
Her innovative designs, extensive knowledge and a collaborative approach with clients gained her a well-earned, professional reputation.
Frances employs several gardeners including her son, who has just completed a course in horticulture.
Alice Brosnahan
Alice began her horticultural career over 20 years ago whilst living in Sweden. The shortened seasons and days made her realise the importance of choosing the right plants and where to place them.
Returning to England, she successfully completed her RHS Level 2 Certificate in the Principles and Practices of Horticulture, followed more recently with a diploma in Garden Design from Capel Manor College in Regents Park.
Alice Has been a professional gardener for several years, working for clients in the Godalming area where she demonstrates her practical horticultural skills with both garden border management, design and planting plans for much larger projects.
She regularly works alongside Frances on these types of projects.
